Gillette Stadium Improvement Project

Computer Room Buildout

As part of the stadium improvement project at Gillette Stadium, NHT played a crucial role in the complete build-out of a new computer room, ensuring seamless IT infrastructure expansion. From installing and dressing IT cabinets and racks to handling extensive copper and fiber optic cabling, our team delivered a high-quality, organized solution that met The Kraft Group’s exacting standards.

Scope of Work:

Ordering, staging, installation of 12 IT cabinets, 4 IT racks, complete Ladder tray to dress cabling around computer room.
Roughing in and terminating 336 Cat 6 copper wiring within computer room divided between and from each IT cabinet to IT data rack.
Roughing in and terminating of 2 Single mode OS2 144 strand fiber optic cable from Existing Stadium MDF to new computer room Approx. 2500 ft.
Roughing in and terminating of 2 Multi mode OM3 48 strand fiber optic cable from existing Stadium MDF to new computer room.
Roughing in and interconnecting 34 Fiber Cassettes from IT Rack to 12 cabinet’s.
Dressing of all copper cabling and fiber optic cabling to The Kraft group standards.

IDF Upgrades

As part of the ongoing infrastructure upgrades at Gillette Stadium, NHT was tasked with modernizing and optimizing the stadium’s IT network. This involved reconfiguring and upgrading 42 IDF locations to improve organization and performance, as well as installing new pathways where needed. With careful planning and precision, our team executed critical work under tight timelines, including overnight operations in sensitive areas, to ensure a seamless transition.

Scope of Work:

NHT did complete upgrades including re-configuring, installing new IT racks, vertical management, new patch panels, new ladder tray to each of the 42 IDF’s.
NHT re-terminated all copper wiring in each of the 42 IDF’s to new jacks.
NHT terminated all new Fiber optics cabling to each of the 42 IDF’s.
Due to the sensitivity of some locations NHT had to perform this work in 1 night’s work. These locations consist of upwards of 244 Cat6 cables.
NHT installed all new 3” conduit paths to 4 of the IDF locations as there was no existing cable path.
